STORY OF CHURDHAR HILLS

Churdhar senctuary is named after the Churdhar peak which has an elevation of 3647 meters abouve sea level and is located in Sirmour Shimla District of the INDIAN state of Himachal Pardesh.

This is also highest peak in outer Himalayas . This is holly place devoted to Lord Shiva . This place can approached by lots of routes but the main routes are form Nohradhar, in Sirmour of 14 km form Sarahan Chaupal of 8 km

According to folk stories it is described and considered that ascetic shankara charya was on his pilgrimage through badrinath and kedarnath came to dharmshala by only a single route that was churdhar.

Trip requirements

This trek is two day short trek so little food stuff is required Temperature is low so winter clothes is also require

After walking 5 km form Nauradhar you will find this place

Our journey started from Nouradhar because it is best possible way to reach

where are you coming form reach solan 4:30 . There are many ways to reach churdhar hills but we only talk about best possible way.

So if you are coming form Chandigarh then way is ( Chandigarh > Solan > Rajghat > Sangrah road > then Nouradhar .Its about 186 km form Chandigarh )

When you reach solan at 5:00 there is a direct bus to reach nouradhar and from there you start your journey

there are many ways to reach churdhar top hill
1 This is shortcut but its tough because of its sharp curves so don't try this way if this is your very first trekking.
2 This trekking route is long but it is more comfortable, but careful in this way you will find some wild animals so alert while trekking though this way. just look at this pic

In top view this is place where you find refreshment after a long journey. don't worry there is also one or two place you will find tea and other food stuffs .
